Nick Gallagher

PTR Certified Tennis Instructor

Growing up in France, I spent most of my childhood playing soccer and various other sports . It wasn’t until I arrived in the US at the age of 13 that I started playing tennis with my brother. I instantly fell in love with the game, and have enjoyed competing ever since. After graduating college with a international business degree and working in purchasing for a few years, I decided that sharing my passion for the game with others was much more rewarding! I love to see my students improve their tennis game and their fitness level as well.

I am a PTR certified tennis instructor with over 18 years of playing experience, and over 12 years of tennis coaching experience. I have coached for DVTA ( Delaware Valley Tennis Academy), GPTA (Greater Pottstown Tennis Association) and I have also worked as a tennis instructor/hitting partner for the elite players training program at Merion Cricket Club in Haverford,PA.

 

As a high school player at Upper Merion, I played the number one singles varsity position for 3 years. I continued to compete in college for Kutztown University, where my team won a PSAC title in 2005. I have also won a team USTA National Championship in 2011 representing middle states. I have represented team Middle States at Nationals in mixed doubles for 8.0 and 9.0 in 2013. I have won numerous men’s open singles titles throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. I am currently ranked in the top 10 in the men’s open division in Middle States. My USTA rating is 5.0.
